Weaving Fabric

I dressed my loom, with some cotton and linen. The beige is Aunt Lydias 3, the Linen is Berroco and the flubby cotton is which I got on "rare, vintage, estate" sale on ebay as all the items as of late have become. All descriptions for anything remotely older has these adjectives thrown in for emphasis.

Some hemstitching , I've been toying with my camera and have found how to take close ups with out it being a blurry mess, I really like that it
I've been watching and bidding on some 4 harness table looms, but of course they go way above my meager bids, but I'm hopeful that I will find one and be able to buy it. I had found a Structo on Craigslist, but the gentleman that owns it wasn't willing to ship and I can't drive 6 hours round trip to get it, even if it's a great deal. Oh well, patience is a virtue, so I've been told.

Love the texture options in this warp-waht are you going to do with this? I sympathize over the escalation of the bids....it isn't easy to compete!

Not sure what I'm going to do with it but I like the nubbies. I have some ideas rolling around in my head and I need fabric so for know it's fabric pieces, but some market bags maybe or a tissue cover I saw while on vacation, I just haven't sat down to design the finished pieces. Trust me you guys will be the first to know LOL..

Try checking Craigslist in any cities you or your family and fiends are going to be traveling to even if it's a month or more out. I was going to a city 8 hrs away in a month and happened to find a 4-harness table loom on Craigslist. The owner was more than willing to wait a month to sell it so that he could sell it to someone who would love it and use it.

I love how your close-ups turn out now! For what it;s worth, I've noticed that just what I want will come to me in patience and I seem to savor my "find" even more so than if I jumped early! Best wishes, Maggie in Milwaukee

Looks like fun! I can't wait to see how the textured yarn weaves up. Do you have any problems with it getting caught in the reed?

Oh yes Benita, it got caught and broke 4 warp ends, I had to cut it off and re-tie, I've been weaving with it but very gently. Lesson learned.
